What the iPhone 5 Won’t Have

You’ve found all the rumor mill articles that tell you what the iPhone might have, but this is just speculation.
Here we’ll explore just what the iPhone 5 won’t have, no matter how much people might want it. Right now there are many different reviewers trying to tease out what the iPhone 5 actually has, but from the pictures there’s a couple things that we can tell it doesn’t like:
- Better Speakers
According to the different Chinese manufacturers that producing iPhone 5 parts and putting them for sale on the internet, the speakers will be all style and no substance, just like the previous iPhone 4. Speakers in this device will be sacrificed for real estate to make the design ever increasingly shinier.
- Integrated Radio
The integrated am/fm tuner on windows phone devices allow you to listen to different radio stations in high definition, but this isn’t the case for the iPhone 5. Sadly, Apple’s stranglehold on content delivery will forever prevent a radio from being installed on the system.
- Support for Flash
We all remember when porn sites redesigned their sites to take advantage of the iPad; Jobs disabled flash development to keep people from enjoying content, while forgetting that HTML 5 works just fine for it. This led to a better usability across the internet, but still a feature that will never come to the iPhone natively.
- Keyboard that Works
One of the big gripes about users of the iPhone 4 is that they can’t use the keyboard to write anything real, and end up having to buy some extendable device at a high premium just to type out emails and such. If the iPhone really wants to start taking a serious share of the PC market, it will have to fix this problem but they probably won’t.
While all of these are important steps that Apple should take to improve its product, it probably won’t.
We’ll keep wishing for it any way!
